Volunteer Opportunities

The GreenHouse Community Center

Volunteers are the backbone of The GreenHouse! It's our volunteers that bring their skills and gifts and heart to almost every aspect of our organization. Each year, one-third of all the hours worked at The GreenHouse are done by volunteers.   • To volunteer, please download an application and contact our Volunteer Coordinator to set up an interview.

    • Program Director: Deborah Blanco

    • Available: September through May

    • Commitment: 6 months at 2.5 hours/week (can vary depending on your availability)

    • Age Group: 1st–6th grade

    • Meet Days and Times: Mondays (3:00-5:30pm), Wednesdays (2-3:30pm or 4-5:30pm), or Fridays (3-5:30pm)

    • Requirements: Must be 16 years and older to volunteer. Volunteers 18+ must be fingerprinted. Must attend training session.

    • Program Director: Deborah Blanco

    • Available: September through May

    • Commitment: 1 semester, 4 hours/week

    • Age Group: 1st–6th grade

    • Meet Dates: Monday*, Wednesday*, or Friday*

    • Meet Time: 1:30p-5:30p

    • Requirements: Must be 16 years and older to volunteer. Volunteers 18+ must be fingerprinted. Must attend training session.

    *Choose one day of the above to come in for 4 hours.

    • Commitment: 9 Months

    • Age Group: 5th and 6th Grade

    • Meet Days and Times: Every other Tuesday, 6:00–7:30pm

    • Requirements: Must be 16 years and older to volunteer. Volunteers 18+ must be fingerprinted. Must attend training session.

    • Commitment: 5 weeks, 2.5 hours per week

    • Age Group: 1st–6th Grade

    • Meet Days and Times: Monday through Thursday, 10:00am–12:30pm (Mon–Wed), 1:30–4:00pm (Thurs)*

    • Requirements: Must be 16 years and older to volunteer. Volunteers 18+ must be fingerprinted. Must attend training session.

    • Available: September through May

    • Commitment: 6 months*, 2.5 hours/week*

    • Age Group: 7th–9th Grade

    • Meet Days and Times: Tuesday and Thursday, 3:00–4:30/5:30pm

    • Requirements: Must be 18+ to volunteer in the Teen Programs. Must be fingerprinted and attend training sessions.

    *Can vary depending on your availability

    • Commitment: 1 semester, 4 hours per week*

    • Requirements: Must be 18+ to volunteer in the Teen Programs. Must be fingerprinted and attend training sessions.
