ONE-TIME VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

---------------------------------------------------

There are many one-time opportunities to offer your energy, experience and passion

as a volunteer at The GreenHouse!  Feel free to contact Gabe Benson, Volunteer Coordinator, at gabe.thegreenhouse@gmail.com for more information about any of the following opportunities:

  • WORKSHOP LEADER

We want you to share your unique skill with GreenHouse youth for a short-term commitment over a couple of weeks! Workshop leaders might teach a single workshop or a series of workshops. Well-led workshops allow GreenHouse students the opportunity to build new skills, unlock their artistic gifts and passions, and have important experiences of achievement that spill over into their academic studies.

Workshops can include any informative, artistic, or creative skill - from origami to dancing to singing to information about college and careers. We welcome new ideas and experiences! Workshops are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:30-5:15pm in Evergreen (for elementary students), and on Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30pm in R4 (for teens).

  • FAMILY NIGHTS

The GreenHouse hosts regular Family Nights to build community and cultivate connection. Family Events typically involve games, music and great food! If you'd like to volunteer to support one of our Family Nights, let us know and we'll explore opportunities.

  • PUMPKIN PATCH

Every fall, The GreenHouse hosts an annual Harvest event in late October to build community and offer families a free, fun, safe place to play and celebrate!  Volunteers help set up and lead carnival games.  We also welcome donations of pumpkins and other activities.  Let us know if you'd like to help!

  • GARDEN WORK DAYS

The GreenHouse has an educational garden that we use as an outdoor classroom with elementary students.  We regularly host groups of 3-20 volunteers for garden workdays: weeding, pruning, repairing planters, and providing general maintenance.  No garden experience required; just a willingness to jump in and get your hands dirty!  Dates are flexible depending on your group's availability.

  • CHRISTMAS FAMILY GIFT PARTNERS

Each Christmas The GreenHouse partners with local churches and organizations in our "Christmas Family Gift Partner" programs.  Partners are paired with a GreenHouse child and their family, and donate a gift card to support the family in meeting needs for food, clothing, necessities, and/or gifts in the holiday seasons.  Partners have the option of receiving prayer requests from and sharing prayer requests with GreenHouse families, as a way to bless each other mutually.  It's a powerful way to connect!
